For many actresses this would have been a test too far. But by her own admission she is a "seize the day" kind of woman and one not easily daunted by anything. Born in New Jersey in , Larter was a model at 14, toured the world, then at 19 she took acting lessons and was soon appearing in local stage productions. She made her cinema breakthrough in 's Varsity Blues and went on to appear in teen movies such as Drive Me Crazy, Legally Blonde and episodes one and two of Final Destination.
